
Singapore Science Park I is fully developed with a total
land area of 30 hectares and a built-up area of 245,000
square metres. There are 13 multi-tenanted buildings,
6 land lessees buildings (buildings-developed and owned
by land lessees) and 1 amenity building.
Of the 13 multi-tenanted buildings, 3 are CINTECH buildings
(CINTECH stands for Centre for Information and Technology)
which are customised units suitable for IT companies.
The rest are for R&D companies in other fields of
technology.
The 6 land lessees are ST Chartered Semi-Conductor
(wafer fab), SPRING Singapore (national agency housing
various technology centres & laboratories with a
focus on industrial R&D), Det Norske Veritas (marine
technology), Defence & Science Technology Authority,
DSO National Laboratories (defence R&D) and Reuters
(Information Technology).
The amenity building, called the Science Hub, offers
an extensive range of recreational and sports amenities.
These include a swimming pool, gymnasium, restaurants,
auditorium, conference and function room facilities.

Singapore Science Park II is fully developed with a total
land area of 20 hectares and a built-up area of [52,600]
square metres. The last building, the Capricorn, was completed
in 2001. There are 5 multi-tenanted high-tech buildings
and 3 land lessees buildings..
The multi-tenanted buildings are the Alpha, Aquarius,
Gemini, Aries and Capricorn. The 3 land lessees are the
Institute of Microelectronics (IME), Crimsonlogic and
Teletech Park. Tenants in Science Park II are mainly IT,
telecommunication, high-tech R&D and life science
companies.
Specialised facilities at Science Park II include the
TeleTech Park which is Asia's first dedicated telecommunications
R&D facility. iAxil, a business venture accelerator
centre, provides solutions to help technopreneurs and
high-tech startup companies commercialise and grow their
ventures. iAxil is housed in the Aquarius building.
In Nov 2002, Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust, A-REIT
(www.a-reit.com.sg),
was launched as the first business space and light industrial
REIT listed on the Singapore Exchange. Four of the multi-tenanted
buildings in Science Park II are owned by A-REIT. These
are the Alpha, Gemini, Aries and Capricorn.

Singapore Science Park III has a land area of 4 hectares
and is targeted at the life sciences industry. The first
multi-tenanted building, Galen, was completed in 2002.
The Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technology is the first
land lessee with its own building in Park III. |
